Brokenhearted Jubilee

I love John Lennon's lyrics and I generally agree with the characterization of Paul as a melody man and John as a word man. But, I think that "Junk," which showed up on Paul's first solo record and a demo of which is on the third Anthology* set has, in addition to a lovely melody, a really great lyric in it - "Buy, buy says the sign in the shop window/Why, why says the junk in the yard."

Speaking of junk, just now I was using internet explorer to browse some old memepool entries, and I got caught in one of those porn link trap dealies where you try to close the browser, but another one just pops up in its place (especially embarassing if you're in a public place like, say, your school's computer lab). I couldn't believe that shit happens anymore. Yet another reason to switch to Firefox, which just happened to release version 1.5.

*I thought an anthology was a collection of written works, but then there's little about post mortem Beatles releases that makes any sense.

Instead of switching to the inferior Firefox, you could just hit up the underwear section of the Sears catalog in the Sunday paper. Cheaper than internet service, and no popups (except for one perhaps... hehe). Beware of paper cuts.

P.S. Lennon was a hippie and you are a hippie for liking him.

Just to be clear, I wasn't surfing to a porn site, I was surfing to some site which had expired and had its domain taken over by a porno outfit.

P.S. Everybody's got something to hide---especially you and your monkey.

Everything the monkey and I do is consensual. But don't try to ask him about it... he's sleeping.

P.S. When are you going to come to grips with your porn addiction?
