Campaign Mailer or Sex Offender Notice

In a Denver congressional race, the Republicans have sent out a mailer criticizing the Democratic candidate. The mailer was designed to look like the notification sent to people when a sex offender moves in to the neighborhood.

But hey, maybe it's a good thing. I mean, a person will see that they've gotten a sex offender notification, get all worried, then be relieved to discover that it's just a Democrat.

What I wanna know is when campaigns are going to start photoshopping turbans onto their opponent's heads.

Incidentally, the local news website that I've just linked to is running a story with the headline, "Chubby Teen Girls Rob Several Trick-Or-Treaters." Apparently two "heavy-set girls about 16 or 17 years old" robbed four kids of their candy. Oh, how fat girls love them some candy!

Pandering seems to be a specialty of this station. Another headline reads, "Police: Duct-Taped Toddlers Found Alone, In Feces."
